Green Owl Tech, a leading IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) company committed to sustainability and social responsibility, has joined hands with Jyotirmaya Yoga Kendra (JYK) to extend their philanthropic efforts and make a positive impact on the Fort Lauderdale community. In a recent joint initiative, Green Owl Tech, through its Green Owl Gives Program donated 10 fully refurbished laptops to Fort Lauderdale based nonprofit FLITE Center allowing youth to participate in the City of Pembroke Pines’ Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) Mini-Apprenticeship Program through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This 5-month training program will help to lay the groundwork for youth interested in learning about how to excel in a career as a Class D Drinking Water Treatment Plant Operator. This critical resource is responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment and processes in water treatment plants. The Green Owl Gives program, established by Green Owl Tech in April 2019, has been providing all of its services free of charge to every single Not-For-Profit organization based in Broward County, Florida. To date, this remarkable commitment has amounted to over $350,000 of in-kind services provided to support the local community. Through Karma Yoga, the practice of eco-friendly actions towards Mother Earth (Bhumi Devi) is a daily commitment that involves recycling, vegan recipes, and yoga classes in nature.

The laptops donated through Green Owl Gives will play a pivotal role in facilitating educational resources for these young individuals, nurturing their growth and aspirations.
